KHAIRPUR: A three-Day workshop on “Current Trends in Hyphenated Techniques and their Application in Biological and Chemical Sciences” organized by the Institute of Chemistry in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan under the auspices of the Chemical Society of Pakistan inaugurated at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur on Thursday. Prof. Dr. Noor Ahmed Shaikh, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Main Campus presided over the inaugural session while Prof. Dr. Sami-uz-Zaman Siddiqui, President, Chemical Society of Pakistan, Sindh Chapter was the chief guest. Prof. Dr. Noor Ahmed Shaikh said, workshops are the source of learning about new trends and techniques. Workshops play a vital role in learning. He said, I am optimistic that scholars will definitely learn in this workshop and will apply their learning in their research. Prof. Dr. Sami-uz-Zaman Siddiqui said, we are working to improve the water quality of this region. He said, this workshop will be beneficial for scholars and students of the University. Prof. Dr. Badaruddin Memon, Dean, Faculty of Natural Sciences thanked the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan and Chemical Society of Pakistan for their support of SALU in organizing this workshop.
