Karachi: A local court while expressing anger over the police failure to arrest absconding Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s leaders MNA Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Ameenul Haw and Aslam Afridi in a case registered over holding a protest demonstration outside CM House against water shortage re-issued their warrants for arrest. Police had registered a case against 15 leaders of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan, including Dr Farooq Sattar and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and other over party’s protest outside CM’s House on June 5 last year. The court had issued arrest warrant for Sidduiqui, Ameenul Haq and Afridi for not appearing before the court and ordered police to produce them by arresting. However, police failed to produce them in the court of Judicial Magistrate, South. The court while expressing anger over the police failure again issued arrest warrant of the accused. According to the prosecution, the MQM-P leaders had held a protest demonstration on June 5 last year in front of the Chief Minister House where activists had scaled containers and tried to push through the barricades.
