KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that he was working hard to develop interfaith harmony in the province. “When you have a tolerant society you can grow in each and every sector and Alhamdulillah the society of Sindh is above the religious and sectarian bigots,” he said while talking to Father Robert McCulloch, the Procurator General of Society of St Columbian who called on him here at the CM House. The chief minister said that people of different religion live in Sindh from centuries and they have contributed a lot in social sector, particularly in education, health and development of society. He quoted Zoroastrian, Christian and Hindus and said they all on their part established educational institutions and hospitals and served humanity. “I appreciate their services,” he remarked. Father Robert said that Sindh has a unique society which is above religious and sectarian bigot. “People of Sindh under the influence of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai and other Sufi saints are above religious and sectarian fanaticism,” he said added they love humanity.
