KARACHI: First-ever office of Pakistan Cardiac Society (PCS) was inaugurated on Sunday. Eminent cardiologists from all over the country participated in the event. The prominent among others were Professor Abid Amin Khan, Professor Azhar Farooq and Dr Hamid Shafqat. Speaking on the occasion, Professor Khalida Soomro, president Pakistan Cardiac Society said that the society was established in 1966, with sole purpose of promoting and propagating the cause of cardiovascular health. She said that PCS is focused to propagate the latest advancement in different fields of cardiology through dedicated mega events of annual conference and with its collaboration other organisations with in Pakistan and abroad. “Although the society is working for last many decades but there was no proper office. With the establishing of this office, it will enhance the correspondence with foreign and domestic organizations,” she added. She informed that new software was also launched for the membership.
