KARACHI: Sindh Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has enjoyed 12 years in power, but never worked to build a solid waste management system and disposal of garbage in the metropolis. He said that MQM always pointing fingers at the Sindh government for ignoring Karachi that was not true. MQM-P’s opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan accusation was baseless. Khuhro demanded to provide account details of Karachi package during Pervez Musharraf era in which areas like Malir, Lyari and adjoining villages of Karachi had been ignored. He questioned that billions of rupees were given to Karachi for massive development but where the money goes. A day earlier, Khawaja Izhar accused the Sindh government for not co-operating with the mayor for removing solid waste from the city and lack of funds for carrying out development projects.
