LAHORE: Traffic Police Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Captain (r) Syed Ahmed Mobin Thursday dismissed four officers, deputed on a learner licensing van, over corruption charges. According to details, the DIG dismissed Altamash, Shahzad, Azam and Saad over alleged irregularities in the affairs the learner licensing van. The DIG said that there was no place for dishonest officers in the City Traffic Police. He said no such complaints would be tolerated in future. Meanwhile, CIA Police recovered 125 missing children from different places of the city during the last three days and handed them over to the Child Protection Bureau and Edhi Centre. A special team was set up by the CIA SP for a crackdown on female beggars, who along with children were seeking alms in different areas of the city. The CIA team teams during search operations near Data Darbar, Peer Makki Darbar, Lorri Adda, railway station and other places recovered around 125 children, who were unknown about their background. A spokesperson for the CCPO Office said that police also arrested several persons involved in begging. He said that police after collecting their initial profiles, handed children over to the Child Protection Bureau and Edhi Centre for further procedure.
