KARACHI: A Chinese citizen has been targeted in a remote-controlled explosion in Karachi’s area of Gulshan-i-hadeed on Monday, police said. The victim of blast suffered minor injuries in the explosion. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rao Anwar said that police has recovered a booklet that was printed in Sindhi from the site of blast. The words written on that leaflet means ‘foreign control over Sindh’s natural resources’. The victim of the blast was a driver of that Chinese citizen who had no security however the Chinese citizen suffered no injuries at all, SSP said. Police has sealed the access to the site of blast and has recovered the evidences for further interrogation. Hundreds of Chinese workers are currently working all over Pakistan on various development projects, including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Thar coal power project. Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and Inspector General (IG) Sindh AD Khawaja took notice of the incident and ordered to carry out further interrogation.
