ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz met Afghanistan’s ambassador and specified that Pakistan and Afghanistan should protect their lands to be used to harm each other in any way. Sartaj Aziz also specified the process of settlement between the two countries. He also put forward his views about the US drone attack and the death of former Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Mansour. The Foreign Office also told that both of the representatives discussed the future of Afghan reconciliation process. According to FO, this meeting was after Mansour’s death. And during this meeting, Sartaj Aziz also stated Pakistan’s reservations of the drone strike. This drone attack from US on May 21that killed Taliban Chief Mullah Akhtar Mansour has made Pak-America relationship complicated. Pakistan has called it an attack on its authority and protested against USA for this drone attack. Mullah Akhtar Mansour is the second person that has been killed by the Noshki drone strike. US Secretary of State John Kerry had specified that the drone attack had been authorized by none other than American President Barack Obama. After Mansour’s death, Sheikh Haibatullah Akhunzada has become Taliban’s new chief.
