ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Friday said that he was “almost” put under house arrest and the government owed an explanation over whether the alleged oppression represented rule of democracy in the country or dictatorship. Addressing the media at his residence in Bani Gala he sought an explanation from the government for not permitting PTI leaders to attend the rally at Laal Haveli. He rhetorically asked Islamabad High Court (IHC) if PTI was the only organisation liable to abide by the laws in the country. Khan claimed that Nawaz Sharif does not have any understanding of democracy, adding that he would keep pressurising the government until the premier presents himself for accountability. Imran also mentioned the Model Town incident by promising to put those responsible for the lives lost behind bars including Punjab Chief Minister (CM), Shahbaz Sharif and the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
