KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto visited Sindh High Court (SHC) and met Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah in his chamber and assured him that all out efforts were being made by the provincial government and law enforcing agencies for recovery of his son Barrister Awais Shah. Bilawal was accompanied by Ali Haider Gilani, son of former prime minister, and Jameel Soomro, according to a statement issued on Monday by the Bilawal House. The PPP chairman remained with the chief justice for more than half an hour and informed him of every step that was being taken in a coordinated way for early and safe recovery of Barrister Shah. The statement said that Bilawal himself was personally concerned and was monitoring the efforts for early recovery of Barrister Shah, who was kidnapped from Clifton area on Monday, with police fearing the abduction could be used as a bargaining chip for some militants’ release. Speaking during a Sindh Assembly session, Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah announced that anyone providing information, which may lead to Barrister Shah’s kidnappers, would be awarded 10 million rupees by the provincial government. On Saturday, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali also directed authorities to take measures for the early recovery of Barrister Shah.
