ISTANBUL: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached Turkey for three-day visit, who was greeted by member of Turkish Parliament Burhan Kayaturk and Deputy Governor Istanbul Mehmet Ali Uluta at Ataturk Airport, Istanbul. According to press release issued on Friday, the chief minister exchanged views on bilateral relations with key personalities and recited Al-Fatiha for those who sacrificed their precious lives while foiling the coup attempt in Turkey. He also visited Culinary School and Hotel Management Institute, moreover, he was left for a meeting and dinner hosted by Mayor of Istanbul. Before dinner, in his address CM Shehbaz appreciated the efforts and the sacrifices common man made to foil the coup. He further added, “Enemy of Turkey is the enemy of Pakistan. Whoever is President Erdogan’s and brother Topbas’s enemy, is my enemy too. President Erdogan is leader of the people, not just any particular faction.” Mayor also emphasized on the bilateral ties and added that both countries are interlinked and together they shall continue to work towards prosperity. He further said, “Turkey is developing economy. It is going to be an effective power in world arena.”
