LAHORE: The Lahore High Court’s (LHC) chief justice (CJ) – Justice Mansoor Ali Shah – formed a full bench on Monday to hear the pleas filed against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) ‘Islamabad-lockdown’ on November 2. During the proceeding, the CJ ordered the three-member bench headed by a senior judge – Shahid Hameed Dar – to commence hearing on October 26. The other judges of the bench include Justice Anwarul Haq and Justice Qasim Khan. A local citizen – Atif Sattar – submitted a petition against the PTI stating that the freedom of capital’s residents should not be compromised due to any protests.
