PESHAWAR – Police on Tuesday said that the security forces have recovered a‘suicide vest’ from a local hotel in the provincial capital after killing a would-be bomber in a ‘shootout,’ a private TV channel reported. The channel reported that a ‘suspect’ opened fire from his hotel room as the police conducted routine search operation in the Dabgari Garden area.The police ‘quickly’ retaliated and tossed a gas bomb inside the room. The police said that the alleged terrorist was killed in exchange of fire.The police also neutralised a suicide vest, recovered from the hotel room.Quoting the police,the channel reported that the suspect identified as Yahya belonged to Waziristan. The suspect was residing in room number 204 at the fourth floor of the Bangash Hotel. Without sharing details of the ‘shootout’ with the media, the police have started investigating into the incident.
