PESHAWAR – At least 18 people including three seminary students were injured in an attack on a mosque in the Thakal Bala area of Peshawar on Monday. Cantonment’s Superintendent of Police Muhammad Kashif said that students, teachers and worshipers were having dinner at the Baitul Mukarram on the completion of the seminary course when some unidentified assailants lobed hand grenades and opened fire on them. The locals also retaliated and injured one of the attackers and arrested him while the rest of the attackers fled in a car. The injured were shifted to the Khyber Teaching Hospital and the Leady Reading Hospital for treatment. The police have registered a case and started investigating from the arrested suspect.
