PESHAWAR: Police took into custody those who violated the law and continued selling toy guns in the city. According to police authorities, a search operation was conducted in the city in which a hundred suspicious individuals were arrested. According to details, the search operation was conducted in the city’s Sarband, Hayatabad and surrounding areas. Lady constables were also involved in the search operation, which also included the use of sniffer dogs. An estimated two hundred houses were searched and as many as one hundred suspects, including nineteen Afghan nationals. Sellers of toy guns were also taken into custody. According to details, four shopkeepers who were selling toy guns were taken into custody and as many as 122 toy pistols were recovered. The district administration in Peshawar had banned the sale of toy guns for one month.
