‘The fault in our stars’ starlet Shailene Woodley is expected to plead guilty for being involved in the disorderly conduct case that took place after her arrest while protesting the Dakota Access Pipelines (DAPL) in October 2016. According to sources, Woodley will be sentenced with one-year deferred imposition, and a year of unsupervised probation if she pleads guilty. Woodley still continues to speak about DAPL. During Sundance Film Festival, she hosted a No DAPL protest, which Obama’s daughter Malia Obama attended. Last month, Shailene was on ‘The Late Night with Seth Meyers’, where she urged the viewers to get involved with the protests. “I thought that was really moving and inspiring that, despite who you are, who your family is, where you come from, it was neat to see her be invested personally and separately from her family in these causes,” Woodley praised Malia. “The front lines don’t necessarily have to be in North Dakota,” she said. “The front lines can be wherever you are. You can create a protest in New York City. Because protests are about creating awareness and about people coming together,” she urged her fans. Previously, Woodley asked protesters to action after President Donald Trump signed an executive order authorising the construction of the pipeline. Following Trump’s executive order, she explained her fans how to react stating, “We mobilise. What we can do now as a population, and as a society, is hold our corporations accountable, hold our banks accountable.” For the first time, oil is expected to flow through Dakota Access Pipelines this week and just last week, a pipe broke in North Dakota, spilling gallons of crude oil.
