LAHORE: It’s the stunning exterior which catches the eye on entering ChenOne’s La Atrium. Towards the far right, there’s a short wooden bridge with a running stream below, towards the centre is the glass structure with a glass floor complementing its exotic architecture. Indeed, the building has been well designed and beautifully adorned with plants, stones and the aforementioned running stream. But that’s not all that we adore. It’s indeed the mouth-watering delicacies on display which get our attention. As though the variety of salads weren’t enough to curb our hunger, their wide array of juices, Ramadan assortments (samosas, potato and brinjal pakaurras, rolls, wings, dates), as well as Chinese, desi dishes and a litany of desserts are prepared with the utmost perfection to give the perfect bargain to our money. La Atrium’s iftar/dinner is priced at Rs 1,499 plus tax, where the buffet offers an all you can eat service. Roasted chicken served with potato wedges is another exotic dish on display for those who like less gravy and more substance. Whole wheat naan and roti to go with chicken curries and other desi varieties are a must-try. I recommend the Chinese rice and a delicious mix of gravies and chowmein to go with your dinner, once you’re done with your iftar platter, which in itself is a rich combination of a stomach-filling share. La Atrium’s iftar/dinner menu focuses on the quality of taste and a variety which less offer. There is no pomp and show, only the desire to cater to foodies who go for taste more than elaborate presentations. Their macaroni and potato salads have me floored, as well as their Russian salad varieties. There are up to 40 dishes on display for their iftar cum dinner and one just cannot stop chowing down. In desserts, there is a variety of desi sweet treats as well pastries and cakes. I’m loving their short chocolate and creamy pastry varieties as well as the strawberry puffs. With 10 to 11 rozas left, I recommend La Atrium’s exquisite iftar cum dinner for all you foodies out there who love to indulge.
