Sir: Political parties are treating Pakistan as their private property. Institutions created with taxpayers’ money are named after controversial leaders of parties in power. One such example is the naming Islamabad international airport. There are some suggestions to name it after a controversial figure. I appeal to the MPs to kindly review names of national institutions being named after controversial figures by the parties in power. There should be a debate on the naming of new institutions in parliament. This practice of naming everything after the leaders of ruling parties should be done away with. We have many heroes that should be celebrated, instead of political leaders with a controversial past. M AKRAM NIAZI Rawalpindi
