PESHAWAR: The Peshawar district administration with the support of police personnel on Tuesday held a drive against the encroachers in different parts of the provincial metropolis and arrested 62 encroachers. The Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Riaz Mehsood issued directives to Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC) Bashir Ahmad to take action against the encroachment mafia. The AAC launched a crackdown in Gulbarg and Charsadda Road, arrested 26 persons and cleared the area from the encroachments. Similarly, Additional Assistant Commissioner Sohail Aziz taking action against the encroachers in old vegetable market and Hashtnagri and detained 36 persons. The areas are cleared from illegal encroachers while strict actions will be taken against the arrest persons under the law of the land.
