PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said he supports merger of Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) due to similar cultural norms and linguistic values. Talking to media persons in Peshawar, Imran Khan said reforms should be introduced in FATA from time to time and local body’s polls should be held in the region to mark first phase of the reforms. He said the local bodies system will not disturb the existing system of tribal Jirgas and other traditions. The PTI chief said a traditional democratic culture already exists in FATA. He said wise decisions will be needed to ensure bright future of the FATA people. KP Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak said on the occasion that the provincial government supports merger of FATA with KP and it is fully prepared for the merger. Imran Khan during a meeting with members of the KP Assembly decided to hold a massive rally in support of FATA merger with KP. Khattak: The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Pervez Khattak directed the authorities to prepare special plan for Hazara, Malakand and southern regions. Talking to a delegation on Thursday, he said that education should be made fast track by adding professional technology and short courses should also be made accessible for the students of Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA). He said educated task force is necessary to run industry. The CM also said to speed up the work on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Planning of IT Tower and also different projects of drinking water to be completed in the due schedule. He said with Chinese companies MOU has-been signed for infrastructure in Rashakai special economic zone and industries. Here Vocational center, language centers and race course will be available. The Chairman PTI Imran Khan said through this route Tourism and Industry would get chance for improvement, economy will also rise and people will get more chances of work opportunities. He said in future this route will be connected from Wakhan to Tajikistan. The Chief Minister said that we are ready for merger of FATA with KP. PTI chairman Imran khan has said that we have to maintain culture of Jirga system in FATA and for those consistent reforms should be done and validity of local body system must have to be extended to FATA. We have to make positive decisions for the betterment of FATA. He said tradition and culture of FATA still preserved. We have to take FATA with bright vision, he added. Speaker: The Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Asad Qaiser stressed the need to give relief to people who have voted Pakistan Tehrik Insaf (PTI) to witness change in political behavior of politicians. He was presided over a meeting on Thursday with delegation of elders from Swabi region at Peshawar. The delegation was led by Haji Aurengzeb. The delegation informed the Speaker about basic needs and requirements. The People faced many problems in different sectors including WAPDA, Transportation and Education facilitation. The delegation demands for construction of Primary School and Funeral Place in the jurisdiction of Baja Mahrofa and Sultan Abad areas of district Swabi. They also appreciated the construction carried out in the Baja stadium and addition of animals to Baja Park. The Speaker ensured the delegation about Timely establishment of the mentioned schemes and to meet the required demands on time. He added that Provincial governments’ wants to provide basic healthcare and education facilities on door steps and to validate this trend special efforts were carried out by the Pakistan Tehrik Insaf led government.
