PESHAWAR: The Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Asad Qaisar has said that international community must come forward to resolve the socio economic problems of the people of FATA so that they are protected from being exploited by terrorists. While talking to the Islamabad based Ambassador of European Union Jean-François Cautain who called on him Thursday. The Speaker said that the deprivation of the people of FATA, the continuous absence of health, education, economic or developmental activities and above all formal economy and employment has paved the way for the flourishing of war economy in FATA and thus disturbing the peace of the region and the world. Therefore, it has become the responsibility of the world community side by side with that of Pakistan to properly address these problems and deprivations of the people of FATA, he added. He said that once the problem of unemployment in FATA and KP is properly resolved, terrorists will never be able to recruit foot soldiers from there. He also explained the position of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the merger of FATA with the Province and or its mainstreaming, which he said should be meaningful.
