PESHAWAR: Three-day mourning has been announced in Chitral to express solidarity with the families of those martyred in the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK661 crash in Havelian, Abbottabad on December 7. The statement was issued by the officials of Deputy Commissioner Office in Chitral on Thursday. Chitral Deputy Commissioner (DC) Osama Ahmad Warriach, also perished in the sad incident along with his wife and their one month old daughter. All educational institutions and government offices are closed in Chitral on Thursday and will be closed for next two days. Special prayers were offered for the departed souls after the morning prayers in Chitral. A large number of people who lost their lives in this tragic incident belong to Chitral.
