ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday sought the current as well the year 2013 satellite pictures of Margalla Hills National Park and adjourned the hearing of the case till July 20. The court also summoned the concerned DPOs, SPs, SHO and the Director Environment CDA on the next hearing and remarked that the court would suggest actions against stone-crushing and the timber mafia after reviewing the satellite images of the area. The three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, heard the suo-moto case. During the course of the proceedings, the attorneys of Punjab, Khybar Pakhtoonkhwa and Islamabad Police submitted their separate reports. The Deputy Attorney General Sajid Ilyas Bhatti told the court that the government had banned the stone-crushing in Margalla Hills. Later, the court sought replies from the Federation, Punjab and Khybar Pakhtoonkhwa over the application of the Stone Crushers Association and adjourned the hearing of the case.
