ISLAMABAD: Mayor of Islamabad Shaikh Anser Aziz said on Saturday that the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) staff will remain on duty during Eid holidays. He said that MCI staff had been deputed in the city in shifts to keep the city clean during Eid. He said that staff of Sanitation Directorate would be deputed at the mosques and Eidghas to ensure cleanliness. He directed the MCI to ensure uninterrupted supply of water during Eid holidays. Mayor Shaikh Anser Aziz also directed Water Supply Wing to appoint staff of the water tanker service in three shifts. He also directed the Emergency and Disaster Management to remain vigilant during the Eid days to deal with any emergency. On this occasion, Aziz said that the helpline of Sanitation Directorate 1334 and 9213908 would remain open and residents could lodge their complaints on the numbers. Punjab Emergency Service: Eid holidays of Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) have been canceled. The departments will remain on emergency alert during Eid holidays in all districts of the Punjab to provide emergency cover to the citizens in case of any emergency. According to the Provincial Monitoring Cell, the rescue plans for Eid Fitr have been finalized. Staff of the departments of Punjab Emergency Service will remain on duty to deal with any emergency.
