
ISLAMABAD: A First Investigation Report (FIR) has been registered by Rawalpindi Police against land grabbers at Police Station Naseerabad.
As per the contents of the registered FIR, five persons named Israr Ahmed Afzal, Asim Ahmed Afzal, Dildar Shah, Muhammad Rafiq and Israr Shah along with five other armed persons attacked the site office of the Supreme Court Employees Housing Society on Saturday.
They misbehaved with the staff of the said housing society present inside the office and gave them life threats. They also destroyed the office furniture and tried to trespass the peaceful possession of the owners of this housing society.
The Secretary of the Supreme Court Housing Society, Iqbal Naseer, approached the police station and requested to register a complaint against these land grabbers. In response, the the police of garrison city have lodged an FIR on the matter and start investigations in the case.
A source inside the police station has commented that the accused persons were already involved in several cases of land grabbing in the federal capital and Rawalpindi. He further said; “Mr. Nisar Afzal, the father of the two accused was not nominated in this case, but he was behind the whole episode.
Nisar Ahmed Afzal, 53, was also accused of masterminding a £50 million scam in Britain’s biggest ever mortgage con, but he fled to Pakistan in 2006 as a joint police and a serious fraud office investigation got under way.
