ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Interior on Friday has issued a notice of ninety-day extension of Pakistan Army, Rangers and Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts in the wake of the security concerns under Anti-Terrorist Act (ATC). According to reports, Ministry of Interior has issued notification for the extension of ninety-days period of armed forces deployment in the federal capital. The time limit of deployment of Pakistan Army personnel was ended on December 9 while 50 jawans of Gilgit Baltistan Scouts and 1,500 Ranger personnel have been deployed in the deferral capital. The time limit of Punjab Rangers and Gilgit Baltistan Scouts was ended on November 14. Deputy Commissioner Captain (r) Mushtaq Ahmed Khan had sent summary of extension to Ministry of Interior and it has issued notification of extension for the stay of Pakistan Army, Rangers and Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts.
