ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) President Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said on Sunday that both sides – the one facing allegations and the one levelling allegations – had offshore companies. He said that offshore companies were set up using the money of charity organisations. He asked, “Should the charity money be spent in this manner? When will the nation open its eyes?” Rehman said that Europe and the United States were fighting an economic war against the Muslims. He said that cultural wars were being fought in the world even today. He said that streams of blood were flowing in the Muslim countries such as Libya, Egypt, Tunis, Algeria and Syria and the world was witness to this situation. He blamed former president Pervez Musharraf for pushing the country into the war against terrorism. He said that incumbent rulers did not think that certain decisions made 15 years ago were wrong. He said, “We need to apologise to the Muslim world.”
