ISLAMABAD: Daniyal Aziz, the central leader of ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), has dual nationality while his master’s degree is also suspicious, reported a private TV channel on Wednesday. The report revealed that the PML-N leader, Daniyal Aziz, was a dual nationality holder as he enjoyed both US and Pakistani nationalities. It further said that the master’s degree of Aziz was also suspicious. “Daniyal Aziz completed his BA from University of Houston on September 25, 1991 and he got master’s degree after just four months on January 25, 1992,” the report said. According to the report, Daniyal Aziz had contested local government election in 1991 and was elected on December 28 that showed he was in Pakistan. “If he was in Pakistan at that time how he got master’s degree from US,” the report questioned. It also stated that the mother of Daniyal Aziz had American nationality and according to the US laws Daniyal Aziz was also a US national. “Daniyl Aziz didn’t submit any affidavit so far stating that he had relinquished his US nationality,” it added. According to the report, Daniyal Aziz is also the chairman of a non-government organistaion (NGO), which he has not mentioned in any tax return. The report also called into question the funding of rallies organised by the PML-N leader in the recent past. It is pertinent to mention that a petition has been filed in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against the alleged dual nationality of Aziz.
