KARACHI: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Information, Science and Technology Dr Sikander Shoro said on Sunday that Sindh government has launched a research project of Rs20 million to diagnose and cure epidemic diseases including leishmaniasis, candidiasis and scabiesy in collaboration with HEJ Clinical Research Institute of Chemistry and Center for Bio Equivalence Studies and Clinical Research. He said while presiding over a review meeting on performance of department here today. He said that health sector was on top priority of Sindh government so as to provide masses health facilities at their door step. He said that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had issued strict directives to complete health related schemes and projects within stipulated time. He said that the government was working to ensure to control spread of epidemic disease and provide early diagnosis and treatment facilities against such diseases within reach of the people. Earlier, Director General Information, Science and Technology Department, while giving the details, informed that under the said project research was being conducted in collaboration with prestigious institutes of country to explore newest way for control, timely diagnose and treatment epidemic disease. He informed that work was going on fast as per PC -1 of the project and it would be completed in stipulated time.
