LAHORE: Tech giant Google has changed its logo to a doodle carrying Pakistan flag to mark 70th Independence Day of the country. The doodle, as Google likes to call it, is an animated one and features a play button with green text when one visits Google’s Pakistan homepage. When clicking the play button, the animated Pakistani flag shows. Google has been dedicating doodles to mark Pakistan’s independence days over the past few years now and every year attracts praise from Pakistanis online. Google doodles Google changes its logo on homepage to mark prominent holidays and celebrate notable personalities across the world. Google calls the changed logos as “doodles”. Other celebrities who have been honoured by Google with doodles in Pakistan include prominent philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi and late King of Qawwali and Sufi music Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
