KARACHI: Sindh Acting Governor Agha Siraj Khan Durrani has said that the government was aware of the business community’s significance and their input would be taken into consideration, while making provincial budget. This he said while talking with a delegation of business community led by Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FPCCI) President Zubair Tufail at Governor House on Tuesday. Other members included TDAP CEO SM Muneer, Khalid Tawab, Irfan Sarwana, Abdul Haseeb Khan, Mazhar A Nasir, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Ahmed Chinoy, Dhani Bux, Mumtaz Shaikh and Shakeel Dhingra. Durrani further said that the business community is an integral part of the economy as they not only contribute to the national exchequer, but also create employment in abundance. The acting governor said that business community has to play a pivotal role in making CPEC projects a success as it would be a game changer in the region. The Karachi Circular Railway has also been included in CPEC and it would be a great facility for the citizens of the metropolitan, he opined. He said that after 18th amendment Sindh Revenue Board has been assigned the task to collect various taxes and duties and it is working in close corporation with the business community. He assured them of his full cooperation and solution to their problems. The delegation members thanked the acting governor for patient listening and assurances.
