ISLAMABAD – Pakistan on Tuesday signed an agreement to import 75,000 tonnes of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) from Iran, just a few months after Islamabad’s historic deal with Doha. The agreement was inked between the All Pakistan Liquefied Petroleum Gas Distributors Association and National Iranian Company. Under the deal, at least 6,000 tonnes of LPG would be imported from Tehran every month for a year. Association’s President Irfan Khokhar stated that price of imported LPG would be in line with price in the local market. He also said that the imported LPG would help curb energy crisis in the country.
