The pre-production work of actor and producer Humayun Saeed’s hotly anticipated movie project ‘Main Punjab Nahi Jaungi’ has officially commenced.
Riding high on the success of his last year’s box office hits, Humayun Saeed has been receiving acknowledgement for his work at all major award shows held recently. The superstar was awarded the Best Actor at the ARY Film Awards, as well as with Excellence in Acting (Male) at the Hum Awards 2016.
Ever since Saeed announced that his next film project will be a collaboration with director Nadeem Baig and ace writer Khalilur Rahman, fans could not stop gushing about it. Khalilur Rahman Qamar is a playwright of Pakistani television. His notable work includes ‘Boota From Toba Tek Singh’, aired from PTV World and ‘Landa Bazaar’. His recent work ‘Pyarey Afzal’ and ‘Sadqay Tumhare’ are top rated dramas that broke many records and known for strong and beautiful dialogues. On December 9, 2015; Saeed one of the co-founders of Six Sigma Entertainment announced that his production company will be collaborating with Khalil, where Khalil will be exclusively writing for the production company.
Model-turned-actress Iman Ali was soon signed on as the lead actress opposite Saeed. Playback singers and songwriters Shani Arshad and Shiraz Uppal have been brought on-board as music directors so far, while well-known cinematographer Salman Razzaq has also been confirmed as a part of the crew. The shooting of the movie will begin from July 2016.
