Women and children among 14 injured in roof collapse incident

Downpour in the region began right after last Sehr in lower parts of Abbottabad, while the mountains received torrential rain, later converting into hailstorm made the weather chilly.

The rain falling was started once again soon after little interval, and it was continuing instead break unto late at evening, Thursday.

However, an unexpected landslide appeared near Dhamtor area thus blocked the whole road leading unto Nathiagali, Thandiani among many other surrounding parts of the region which has compelled people to get stop their vehicles at their door steps. Meanwhile, the local administrations including the Director General of Galiyat Development Authority, Raza Habib, along with staff members one of them Ahsan Hamid accompanied him to examine landslides area just for the sake of clearance the road enabling tourists among many residents traders to buy vegetable, fruit ,wheat flour among many other edibles for kitchen using etc. But they cannot succeed to clear the road despite launching hectic efforts for a long time.

However, the road leading to the Naraan & Kaghan valleys was clear playing traffic on its route but no flood was observed in river Kunhar, Jhelum, Neelum and Sindh eye witnesses told on cellular to confirm likewise situation prevailing on the such areas. The Abbottabad city including the Nathiagali, Meera Jani, Thandiani, and Changla gali was facing chilly weather because of intensity of chill full hailstorms converted the summer romance into off going season of winter. Meanwhile, the lower parts of the city was facing mild chilly weather but went in nostalgia to watch winter once again. Meanwhile, the lock down on big plazas was observed completely shut down to avoid coronavirus epidemic. Remaining small shopping centres were expressing a glimpse of opening scenario but the customers found lacking because of continuous rain. The streets, together with KKHW near Sethi mosque near Supply Bazaar were full of sewerages water, while muddy streets expressing opaque situation, not a single pedestrian was found in a position to traverse them conveniently unto their homes.

The sky was fully covered by showing gloomy clouds, while no light on earth was being seen or observed unto longest range of the thickly populated district area together with remaining districts of Hazara too. Majority of the population was confined at their respective homes to avoid rain, and coronavirus epidemic on the advice of the Federal Government.

Meanwhile, at least 14 people including women and children were injured when roof of a two-storey building collapsed due to heavy rain here on Thursday. Rescue sources said that dilapidated roof of a two-storey building located in Kakar Gil area of Farooqabad in district Sheikhupura suddenly came down as heavy rain lashed the area during last 24 hours.

As a result, 14 people including nine children and five women were trapped and injured. The Rescue 1122 teams after an operation of over two hours pulled out the injured after removing the debris and shifted them to local hospital for treatment.
