Green tea the perfect catalyst in achieving your health goals

Published on: October 4, 2016 12:10 AM

For those of us who never seem to get their morning ritual on point, their morning usually looks like the following: they wake up late, dress quickly, brew milk tea or black coffee and rush to office without proper hydration, which in turn sets their day full of stress and anxiousness.

Hippocrates said, “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food” but In this day and age we usually overlook the importance of nutrition.

Self-healing requires being mindful of how we sleep, what we consume, and what we think. Little habits go along way; especially when we talk about our morning rituals. Slowly and surely we can cultivate good eating habits that don’t take a huge hit on your food craving.

It is a well-known perception that our bodies need around eight glasses of water to stay hydrated. Research shows around 75 percent people are chronically dehydrated which can lead to weight gain, headaches, high blood pressure, and fatigue. Constant intake of fluids is something we should always strive for. There are very few beverages that have more nutritional value than water, one of these is green tea.

Although tea is usually known to have diuretic effects, but nothing can be further from the truth. Latest research shows that tea contributes not only to hydration but cognition, heart health and blood pressure levels.

Green tea keeps you hydrated throughout the day in a way that keeps drinking an enjoyable activity and something to look forward to. Dieticians understand that there are very few beverages that are calorie free and, this is why they encourage people to opt for green tea in their daily diet.

No wonder why Green tea is a staple food in the health blogosphere for anyone looking to make a positive impact on their life. This super-food has proven to reduce heart risk and reduce stroke risk in heart patients.

Lipton Green tea makes the brewing part easier as it comes in the form of on-the-go tea bags. These delicious tea bags hold the key to keeping you hydrated, stress-free and uplifted throughout the day. It normalises your metabolic rate in order to make your body efficient at breaking down food into usable energy. One can always take out 15-25 minutes to rethink and reenergize their mornings. A sip of this green goodness brings a slew of benefits and keeps your overall health in check.

This is not to say that green tea in itself is the answer to all your health problems. Let’s face it, green tea is in no way a substitute for bad sleeping habits, poor nutrition or lack of exercise. Having said that, green tea can prove to be an effective supplement if you are combining green tea with healthy eating habits, good exercise, and sound sleep. So it serves as a catalyst to hit your health goals.
