Humayun Saeed reveals story behind making of ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’

Actor and producer Humayun Saeed has revealed the story behind the making of controversial and hit romantic-drama television series ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’.

In an interview, Humayun Saeed revealed that he asked the famous writer of Pakistani industry Khalil-ur-Rehman to give him different scripts for a drama serial when he presented him with the script of “Mere Paas Tum Ho”. “Khalil took “Mere Paas Tum Ho” from Hassan Soomro who already had the four episodes of it and gave it to me”, he added. He also expressed that he paid Soomro for the first four episodes.

‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’ actor further said that five years ago he was not sure whether was going to act in it or just produce the show before reading the script. “I was blown away after reading the script and I said that this is it”, he expressed about starring in the show.

He went on to say that he gave the scripts to four directors who rejected it calling it ‘boring’. ‘Even after the rejection, I still believed that it was surely a different craft,’ he added. ‘Finally, Nadeem Baig read the script and decided to work on it,’ he said

Talking about the role of Danish, Humayun asserted he was confident about doing the role while terming the role of Adnan Siddique as ‘dynamic’. He also revealed that they were planning to make a film out of it but they turned it into a show on the demand of the channel.

‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ is a Pakistani romantic-drama television series, produced by Humayun Saeed and Shahzad Nasib under their production banner Six Sigma Plus. It is directed by Nadeem Baig and written by Khalilur Rehman Qamar. It features Humayun Saeed and Ayeza Khan in lead roles.
