Drama serial ‘Dolly Darling’ makes you laugh till your tummy hurts

Published on: July 26, 2019 10:02 PM

In the midst of so many dramas that revolve around deep emotions, love and heartbreak, family and hardships, ‘Dolly Darling’ is one drama by 7th Sky Entertainment that stands out from the rest because of its ability to make you laugh so hard that your tummy will hurt.

Dolly Darling is a masterpiece of the creative duo of Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi. The drama revolves around Nadia Khan as Dolly, Aijaz Aslam as Mustakeem, Uroosa Siddiqui as Bemisaal and Ali Rizvi as Andesha.

Dolly is an extrovert who is full of energy, enthusiasm and loves getting surprises, but her husband is the complete opposite of her. He is calm, sober and does not enjoy surprises. This contrast in their nature adds a lot of effortless humour in the drama.

Dolly also loves doing things behind her husband’s back in order to gain his attention or to get admiration from her friends, but with Dolly’s luck, her simple attempts to do so create a ripple effect of confusion and misunderstanding every single time. This ripple effect fills each episode with lots of laughter and entertainment for the viewers.

The best part of the drama series is that it is a sitcom, so each episode introduces a new situation keeping the storyline fresh and alive. The characters play their roles to perfection and Nadia Khan as Dolly has proven that she is the best selection for her character, with her on-point expressions and dialogue delivery. There is a fresh spark in Dolly’s personality that is fun to watch and enough to make us smile.

Another reason why Dolly Darling has gained popularity is because of the quality of the drama. For the first time in television history, a production house has invested huge budgets on a comedy drama, which is why each episode gives a high quality look. The locations that the drama has covered are enjoyable and the sound quality is simply exceptional.

Did we talk about Nadia Khan’s dressing in the drama?

Her dresses in each episode are stylish and everything that she wears in the drama compliments her personality. Dolly has been making us laugh uncontrollably with her antics and the constant banter with her husband, and she definitely is the full package of entertainment for us.

It is not another comedy drama with the same repeated jokes and laughing track in the background. The comedy is original, the situations are relatable and the team works hard to create a genuine laughter from the audience.

Personally speaking, Dolly Darling is the kind of drama our television industry needs and it is the kind of drama that gives us a moment of joy. All other dramas on the television are just another reflection of our daily life, full of struggles, but 7th Sky Entertainment gives us an opportunity through Dolly Darling to laugh, smile and be carefree of our life.

Dolly Darling is a 2019 Pakistani special sitcom series produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi under 7th Sky Entertainment. It features Nadia Khan, Aijaz Aslam, Uroosa Siddiqui and Ali Rizvi in pivotal roles.
