Punjab Police Inspector General Captain (r) Arif Nawaz Khan on Saturday visited a police Khidmat Markaz, located at Azadi Chowk.
“Due to the quick and timely service delivery, a large no of citizen benefit from the services of Khidmat Marakaz,” he said. The IGP directed the officials to ensure timely delivery of all services being offered by Khidmat Marakaz for the quick relief to the citizens. “Khidmat Marakaz save money and time of the citizens hailing from other cities of Punjab. Now they do not need to travel to their native districts to avail these services. The motivation for the establishment of Khidmat Marakaz was to provide all police services regarding record and verification to the citizens outside of the police stations in an environment like the services centre of multinational companies,” he said.
Lahore CCPO BA Nasir, Lahore Operations DIG Ashfaq Ahmad Khan and other senior officers were also present. The CCPO briefed the IGP about the achievements and performance of Khidmat Markaz. “Public matters related to police service are now being addressed in a matter of hours instead of weeks due to the improved public service delivery. We do not have any other option for our recognition other than to serve the public. We have laid the foundation of community policing so all officials and officers should ensure that during their duty preference should be given to the convenience and facility of the public,” the IGP said.
