Published on: February 5, 2017 5:01 AM

ISLAMABAD: Murder case of youngster Taimore Riaz who was gunned down by a police man in Islamabad has been referred to homicide unit of federal police for investigation.

The two policemen involved in this killing of Taimore 26 are still at large and seven teams of police have failed to trace them.

An inspector is in-charge of every homicide unit and these inspectors have been placed under SPs of respective zones. Where murder case takes place, inspector of homicide unit carried out investigation on this count under the SP of the respective zone.

TaimoreRiaz murder occurred in the jurisdiction of SabziMandi police. Therefore, homicide unit working under SP Industrial area will conduct investigation.

Seven Police teams which have been constituted to arrest the absconding police men have failed to trace them out so far. Mobile phone data and police monitoring could not lend any help in arresting them.

The CCTV cameras of millions of rupees which have been installed under Safe city project have failed to trace the accused persons.

Sources said the CIA investigation officers have recorded statement of the girl Maheen which is being kept secret.

Homicide unit has allowed the girl to go home after recording her statement and her medical examination . However the girl will remain under investigation.

Sources disclosed police are trying to save their fellow police men and the depositing of arms by police man Sami Ullah in police station after firing incident bears evidence to it. Sami Ullah deposited the gun by saying he is just coming back.

PIMS sources told daily Times the bullet hit the deceased a bit below the temple on left side, therefore, it is hard to tell if the bullet was fired from behind or from side. If the deceased had looked back then police stance is correct. However possibilities are there bullet was fired from side. It is premature to say anything in this regard when the case is under investigation.

Police and hospital sources statements have given rise to several questions.
