‘Shehbaz responsible for poor education, health facilities’

Published on: September 5, 2018 5:07 AM

Talking to the media outside Punjab Assembly on Tuesday, Acting governor Punjab Ch Parvez Elahi said that Shehbaz Sharif has destroyed Punjab, and nobody else has done more damage to the province than Shehbaz “Peoples’ rights have been snatched, the hospitals and schools have been destroyed, now improvement has to be brought in ever sector,” he continued.

Acting governor said that rehabilitation of the system which was destructed by Shehbaz Sharif would take time, and we would have to be patient about it.

He further said that Imran Khan has asked for 100 days, give him time and wait.

On the issue of presidential nominee, Parvez Elahi said that our presidential candidate is Dr Arif Alvi, and there is “barkat” in alliance. ‘’We have promised betterment to the people, and difficulty or easiness in election do not make any difference, real thing is that one should pay attention to own works honestly.’’ said Elahi.

He said that I am against formation of a forward bloc and no forward bloc is being formed.

About a question regarding new local body system change, he said that the Local Government Minister can say something better in this regard. He said that N-League destroyed the local body system too and had snatched powers of local bodies representatives elected during our government.

Ch Parvez Elahi also visited Doctors Hospital on Tuesday and inquired about the health of Tableeghi Jamaat chief Alhaaj Abdul Wahat, who is under treatment for respiratory problem.

Talking to the media, Ch Parvez Elahi appealed to the nation to pray for early recovery of Alhaaj Abdul Wahab.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that if he is to be shifted somewhere else for treatment then air ambulance has also been arranged for this purpose. He said doctors, however, told him that this will not be needed as his condition is much better now.

Provincial Minister Hafiz Ammar Yasir, Maulana Faheem, Maulana Naeem Butt, Yousuf Qureshi and Haroon Qureshi were also present on this occasion.
