SANGHAR: Polling at Sanghar’s Tando Mitha Khan area had been halted after a polling agent and 4 other people were injured following a clash between two rival political groups inside a women polling station. The polling has now resumed.
The incident occurred inside the polling station number 66 at Ismail Rajar Girls Primary School. The polling station is in the constituencies of NA-215 and PS-41.
Zulfiqar Chandio, a polling agent of Pakistan Peoples’ Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) was injured in the clash. The clash started on a voter’s identification.
This is second incident in Sanghar district after polling started at 8 am. Earlier this morning, polling was halted in the NA-216 and PS-42 constituencies after a clash between PPP and GDA workers at Khirpro town’s Yamin Hingorjo polling station.
Seven people were injured due to the incident and one person, Abid Hingorjo’s condition is said to be in critical.
