Bilawal needs to get rid of Zardari to succeed, says Shah Mehmood

Published on: July 8, 2018 9:34 PM

HYDERABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Sunday said that PPP Chairman Bilawal needs to get rid of Asif Ali Zardari if he wants to win the hearts of the public.

While addressing public gatherings and talking to media persons on his visit to his constituency at Pithoro, Shadi Palli and Samaro, Shah Mehmood criticised PPP saying that the party is no more a representative of Zulfiquar Ali Bhutto, but is ‘occupied by Zardari and his henchmen.’

He added that until the ‘politics of Zardari’ prevails in Sindh, the region will not see development and prosperity.

Qureshi continued that the PTI has has ousted PPP from Punjab, as a result of which PPP has failed to field a candidate in 104 out of 144 constituencies in Punjab. “People have always trusted and voted for PPP unconditionally, but the party has disappointed them in the Zardari era,” he added.

He also announced to organise a power show on July 17 at Umerkot.

Candidate on PS-52 Faquir Jadam Mangrio of GDA,  Dost Muhammad Memon of GDA on PS-53, Lalchand Malhi were accompanied him. Large number of desciples of Ghosia Jamait led by SMQ and Hur Jamait led by Pir Pagara and voters of PTI attended it.

He complained that Umerkot is blessed with fertile land, but there is no water to grow crops. “Jobs were sold, commission was on the rise for development works,  contractors,  clerks, jiyalas have turned rich during the past ten years but the situation of the underprivileged has deteriorated,” he said.

“Nation is indebted, industries have been shut. It is time to stand up against the corrupt forces and show resolve,” he said.
