Published on: July 11, 2017 6:08 AM

KARACHI: A blast rattled the area of Bin-Qasim on Monday just a few seconds after the convoy of Chinese engineers passed through main National Highway.

No casualties were reported, however the green belt of the road was damaged, reportedly suspects of an terrorist orgenisation planted an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) to target their object.

According to the Bin-Qasim police on Monday morning around 7: am they received information about a blast which had occurred on main National Highway near Jama Mosque Mohammadi; upon reciveing information they rushed to the spot where personals of Rangers had already cordoned off the area.

DIG East Arif Hanif talking to Dailty Times said that suspects of Sindhudesh Liberation Army had claimed to have planted bomb on the green belt to target the convoy of Chinese engineers but likely the convoy passed through the spot earlier.

“We have not recived initial report of the blast till yet to ascertain what materials or quantity of explosive was used for the blast” he further said.

After the incident LEAs launched a search operation in the area to trace the suspects. According to DIG Arif Hnif the suspects involved have left some pamphlets on the spot claiming the responsibility of the blast.

“Sindhudesh Liberation Army is involved in the incident as its terrorists have been doing such activities in all over the Sindh to disturb the peace” he informed. On the other hand a report of the incident has been registered in BinQasim police station and Bomb Disposal Squad is preparing its report to submit also.

On 30 May 2016, a vehicle of Chinese engineers was targeted with remote control bomb at Gulshan-e-Hadeed Karachi. A Chinese national and his driver were seriously injured a few months ago, intelligence agencies had informed the Sindh home department that the Sindhudesh Liberation Army was planning to attack Chinese nationals working on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, power projects and other development schemes in the province.

On 31st July 2016 twin blasts targeting a Rangers vehicle in Larkana on Saturday were claimed by the Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA) in pamphlets found by police at the scene, a police source said on Sunday.

According to the sources in CTD The Sindhudesh Liberation Army (Also Known as Sindh Liberation Army or SLA) is an organization based in the Sindh province of Pakistan comparable to the Balochistan Liberation Army in terms of is objectives strives to establish an independent state of Sindhu Desh. The Sindhudesh Liberation Army became publicly known during 2010, after it claimed a bomb blast on railway tracks near Hyderabad.

The group is currently headed by Chief Commander Darya Khan. Pakistan’s media has also claimed that Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz’s Chairman Shafi Muhammad Burfat is allegedly operating Sindhudesh Liberation Army from Kabul with support of Indian backed elements.

Sindhudesh Liberation Army has issued a letter to media claiming the responsibly. The letter reads as “Sindh has been remained an independent country on the globe from the centuries. Sindh has remained as a developed country regarding its own Sindhu Ocean, Indus River, agriculture, minerals, coal and several natural resources. There have been many occupiers and nations which have invaded and attacked the peace full land of Sindh across the history and ended its freedom. Sindhi nation has always struggled and gave resistance against the national slavery and restored again its own freedom. Today our historical country Sindh has been occupied by Punjabi army and establishment in the name of Pakistani state and so-called Islamized nation. Sindh’s geography, demography, natural resources and national identity are under threat today in the state system of Pakistan. Sindh’s trade routes and railway lines are being used only for the exploitations of sindh’s natural resources, oil, gas, coal etc. In the context Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army feels its historical responsibility to save Sindh from upcoming national threats and challenges. China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a contemporary national threat for sindh. By this anti-Sindh project of CPEC, there will be exploitation of land, geography, trade route and sea of sindh. It will bring the millions of outsider settlers here in sindh by which sindh’s demographic position will be changed and we sindhis will be converted in to the minority and sindh will lose its trade route, geographic entity , demographic position as well as its ownership of own “Sindhi Sea”.

Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army Condemns the China -Pakistan Economic Corridor, because it is not in the interest of Sindhis and the Baluch nations. Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army Claims the Responsibility of the BOMB Attacks on CHINES ENGINEERS in Karachi today and warns the Chinese that they should not become the part of any Project in sindh which may be against the national interest of sindhis. SRA will continue its struggle till the freedom of Sindhudesh”.
