
LAHORE: Najam Sethi, Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), exercising powers conferred upon him under the PCB anti corruption code of participants has referred the case of Nasir Jamshed, accused of spot-fixing, to the anti-corruption tribunal comprising Chairman Mr Justice (r) Fazal-e-Miran Chauhan, ASC Member Shahzaib Masood, and former cricketer Aqib Javed.
PCB had issued a notice of charge to Nasir Jamshed, wherein he had been charged with multiple violations of Articles 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.1.3, 2.1.4 and 2.4.4 of the PCB’s Anti-Corruption Code for Participants (“the Code”).
Nasir Jamshed who was accused in the spot-fixing case in second edition of Pakistan Super League last year in UAE, has rejected the allegations against him according to a spokesman of the PCB, on Thursday.
He said PCB will fight resiliently against corruption in cricket and shall take all measures required to uproot this menace.
