LAHORE: The annual three-day Sui Northern Gas Pipe Lines Limited (SNGPL) sports event kicked off here on Tuesday, at WAPDA stadium on Ferozepur Road, where the event was also inaugurated.
Speaking at the occasion, SNGPL Managing Director Amjad Latif said that sports were a pre-requisite for the positive development of any society. He further said that the annual three-day sports event was an old SNGPL tradition. “It is the need of the hour to promote sports while engaging the youth in positive activities, thus promoting peace and harmony in the country,” he added.
A total number of 336 male and female players from 21 teams belonging to different regional offices from Abbotabad, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Multan, Peshawar, Wah region, Projects and Head Office will be participating in the events.
