Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Tuesday. The two sides discussed regional security and bilateral cooperation.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Momeni visited GHQ where he held talks with Field Marshal Munir. The meeting focused on security matters and border management issues.

The officials discussed ways to strengthen coordination between Pakistan and Iran on regional and bilateral security challenges. Both sides highlighted the importance of maintaining effective border management.
Meanwhile, the Iranian interior minister appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to reduce regional tensions. He praised Islamabad’s diplomatic role and continued initiatives for promoting peace.
Additionally, Momeni acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts as a facilitator of dialogue amid regional challenges. He expressed support for continued engagement between the two countries.
