Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has said relations between Egypt and Israel cannot fully return to normal until the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory comes to an end. He stressed that resolving the Palestinian issue remains essential for achieving lasting peace, strengthening regional stability, and creating conditions for meaningful diplomatic progress across the Middle East.
Speaking about ongoing regional peace efforts, Sisi said a durable improvement in relations depends on addressing the root causes of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He emphasized that sustainable peace cannot be achieved through temporary arrangements alone and called for a political solution that addresses the long-standing concerns of both sides while ensuring regional security.

According to Sisi, only a fair political solution can lay the foundation for long-term peace.
Sisi also stated that a comprehensive peace agreement between Israel and Palestine remains the only practical path toward ending decades of conflict.
