Kundi urges overseas Pakhtuns to promote investment in KP

Published on: June 30, 2026 2:21 AM

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday urged overseas Pakistanis, particularly Pakhtuns living in the Gulf countries and Europe, to play an active role in attracting foreign investment to province, saying their contributions could help unlock the province’s economic potential.

He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of Pashtun Global, a social organization representing Pakhtuns residing in the Gulf and Europe, led by its head Umar Badshah, here at the Governor House.

The meeting discussed the welfare of overseas Pakhtuns, strengthening ties with expatriate Pakistanis, and enhancing their social, cultural and economic representation. Governor Kundi said overseas Pakistanis were ambassadors of the country and continued to promote the identity and cultural heritage of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa wherever they lived.

He assured the delegation that the government stood by overseas Pakistanis and appreciated the efforts of Pashtun Global in protecting the rights and promoting the representation of Pakhtun communities abroad. Umar Badshah briefed the Governor on the activities of Pashtun Global, saying the organization was working to unite the Pakhtun community living in the Gulf and Europe on a common platform, effectively raise their voice, and keep them connected with their homeland, particularly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said the voices of overseas Pakhtuns had remained unheard for a long time, but Pashtun Global was now providing effective representation to Pakhtuns living across the world while helping them maintain strong ties with their roots. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening links between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and overseas Pakhtun communities, promoting cultural harmony and exploring new avenues of mutual cooperation.
