Karachi Rangers terror attack

The Karachi Rangers terror attack claimed the lives of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) personnel, whose funeral prayers were offered with full state honors. Senior government officials, military leadership, and the families of the martyrs attended the ceremony to pay tribute to their sacrifice.

The Rangers personnel embraced martyrdom while foiling what officials described as a cowardly terrorist attack carried out by the India-backed militant group Jamaat-ul-Ahrar. Their timely response prevented the attackers from causing further damage.

The funeral prayers were attended by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Sindh Governor Nihal Hashmi, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, the Director General of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), senior civil and military officials, and the families of the martyrs. Participants honored the bravery of the fallen personnel and expressed heartfelt condolences to their loved ones.

Speaking after the ceremony, Mohsin Naqvi said the terrorist attack was deeply tragic and vowed that everyone involved would be brought to justice. Governor Nihal Hashmi strongly condemned terrorism and said Pakistan would continue its fight to eliminate it, while Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah praised the Rangers personnel for sacrificing their lives to defeat the terrorists’ plans.

Following the funeral prayers, the bodies of the martyrs were sent to their hometowns for burial with full military honors. After the ceremony, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and the Sindh governor also visited the site of the Karachi Rangers terror attack, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting the security forces in the fight against terrorism.
