Bollywood fans are set to witness the return of one of Hindi cinema’s most loved on-screen pairs as Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar reunite in the upcoming film Welcome to the Jungle. The actors last appeared together in the 2004 release Police Force: An Inside Story, making this collaboration their first in more than two decades.
Reflecting on the reunion, Raveena described the experience as both enjoyable and emotional, highlighting the strong friendships shared among the cast members. She said working again with Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and director Ahmed Khan felt natural because they have known each other for many years and share a long professional history.
The actress noted that the atmosphere on set was filled with warmth and familiarity, which helped make the project even more special. She also spoke fondly of veteran actress Farida Jalal, recalling that she had portrayed her mother in several films and remains an important part of her cinematic journey.
Furthermore, Raveena praised Akshay Kumar’s dedication to acting and credited his success to his unwavering commitment to his craft. She said he was, is and will always remain an excellent actor, adding that his passion for performing has only strengthened throughout his career.
Looking back at their early days in the film industry, Raveena recalled that both she and Akshay started as newcomers and learned the profession together. While they were still discovering their strengths at the time, she believes Akshay has since mastered his craft and established himself as one of Bollywood’s most dependable stars.
Over the years, the duo delivered several memorable hits, including Mohra, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Barood and Police Force: An Inside Story. Their return in Welcome to the Jungle is expected to spark nostalgia among audiences and revive memories of a pairing that remains popular with movie fans.
